Brightspot CMS User Guide

Brightspot is a content management system for creating, managing, and publishing content. This guide covers the CMS interface—from day-to-day authoring to site administration and platform configuration.

Content editors and writers

Content editors create, edit, and publish assets using Brightspot's authoring tools. Start with Getting started to set up your account and learn the interface. Dashboards serve as your daily launchpad for monitoring and creating content, and the Rich-text editor is where most authoring happens. The Content lifecycle covers how assets move through drafting, revision, scheduling, and archiving. Use Brightspot search to find and organize content across your site.

Editorial managers

Editorial managers coordinate content production across teams. Workflows let you define approval stages and route content between contributors and editors. Workstreams help you organize projects and assign tasks. Bulk actions let you manage large volumes of content efficiently.

Site administrators

Site administrators configure Brightspot for their organization. Sites and settings covers core site configuration, while Users and roles controls access and permissions. Editorial content types defines the content structures available to editors. See Site performance for optimization strategies and Production guides for best practices in production environments.

Developers and technical staff

Developers extend and integrate Brightspot at the platform level. Platform extensions covers the modular extensions available for specialized requirements, and Plugins covers in-CMS modules managed through the admin interface.
