Subscribing to the experiment notification topic

As experiments are conducted on your content, you may find it helpful to be notified when certain actions occur. You can subscribe to experimentation-related notification topics to receive such notifications.

To subscribe to the experiment notification topic:

  1. Access your profile.
  2. In the Main tab, expand the Notifications cluster.
  3. Under Subscriptions, click Add Subscription.
  4. Under Delivery Methods, select the context in which you want to receive experiment notifications.
  5. Under Topic, select one of the following:
    • Experimentation—Sends a notification when a number of triggers occur. See below for a list of triggers.
    • Experimentation MTU Limits—Sends a notification when monthly tracked user limits are reached.
  6. Click Save.

Configuring experimentation topics

  1. Under Topic, select Experimentation.

  2. Under Subscribed Event Types, select any of the following notification triggers:

    • Completed—When an experiment is completed.
    • Created—When an experiment is created.
    • Archived—When an experiment is archived.
    • Paused—When an experiment is paused.
    • Resumed—When an experiment is resumed.
    • Running—When an experiment begins.
    • Scheduled—When an experiment is scheduled.
    • Updated—When an experiment is updated.
    • Deleted—When an experiment is deleted.
    • Restored—When an experiment is restored from being archived.
    • Variation Content Updated—When a variation included in an experiment is updated.
    • Winner Auto Promoted—When a winner is automatically promoted by the rules of the experiment.
    • Winner Determined—When a winner is determined.
  3. Under Content Filters, click Add Sites & Types, then limit notifications to a specific site or content type.
