Microsoft
The Microsoft integration establishes the foundation required for Brightspot's Microsoft-based integrations, including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Drives. Completing this setup is a prerequisite before configuring either of those integrations.
Adding a Microsoft app
To add a Microsoft app:
-
Register an application with the Microsoft identity platform, then copy and save the Client ID, Tenant ID, and Client Secret values. You will need these values when configuring Brightspot in Step 5 below and again when setting up the Azure Bot resource in Microsoft Teams.
noteYour Microsoft app may require a redirect URI to authenticate with a site. The URI follows this format:
https://<your-brightspot-cms-domain>/cms/microsoft/auth(for example,https://cms.brightspot.example.com/cms/microsoft/auth). Ensure that the URL is not protected by basic authentication. -
Log in to Brightspot.
- Click > Admin > Sites & Settings > Sites > Global.
-
From the Integrations tab, expand the Microsoft cluster.
-
Under App, create a new Microsoft app:
- Click the selection field, then click Create New. A New Microsoft App content edit form appears.
- In the Name field, type a name for the app. This name is visible only in Brightspot.
- In the Client ID field, type the client ID saved in Step 1.
- In the Client Secret field, type the client secret saved in Step 1.
- In the Tenant ID field, type the tenant ID saved in Step 1.
- Click Save.
-
Click Save.
