Callout module

Callouts allow you to highlight specific text that stands out from the rest of the information displayed in a topic. You can add four types of callouts to your topic:

• Tip—Provides a suggestion or recommendation to visitors.
• Note—Provides an important piece of information to visitors.
• Important—Provides an indication that visitors should be cautious.
• Warning—Provides an urgent warning to visitors.

Creating callout modules

To create a callout module:

1. In the header, click .
2. From the Create list, under Misc Content Types, select Callout Module.
3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the asset.

Main

Field	Description
Internal Name	Enter an internal name for this asset. Brightspot uses this name internally, such as in the search panel and recent activity widget. This name is not visible to visitors to your site.
Type	Select one of the available types: Tip, Note, Caution, or Warning. renders each type differently on the front end.
Body	Use the rich-text editor to include text, lists, images, and links to other assets. Text in this field is visible to visitors to your site. For information about using the rich-text editor, see Rich-text editor.

Embedding callout modules

To embed a callout:

1. From the rich-text editor's toolbar, select > Callout.
2. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
3. Click Save & Close.

Field	Description
Callout	Select Inline or Shared. See Inline vs. shared enhancements.
Type	Select the type of callout (Tip, Note, Important, Warning).
Body	Enter the callout text.

Callout Enhancement Styles

Field	Description
Preset	Select a style preset for this enhancement.
Choose a Background Color	Select a background color for this enhancement.
Background Color CSS Override	Enter a literal CSS background value, such as a gradient, to override the color set in Choose a Background Color. This value is inserted directly into the enhancement's inline style and takes precedence over all other background settings.
Color Scheme	Select the color scheme to use for this enhancement. Standard—Use the text color specified in the site's theme. Inverse—Use the inverse of the text color specified in the site's theme.
Choose Enhancement Alignment	Select an alignment for this enhancement.
