Snippet

A text snippet is a piece of reusable text. Once you create a snippet, you can use it multiple times across multiple topics. Whenever a change needs to be made to the text contained in a snippet, you can update the snippet, and that change is cascaded to all of the topics that use that snippet.

To create a text snippet:

  1. In the header, click .

  2. From the Create list, under Misc Content Types, select Snippet.

    Note

Snippets can also be created when trying to add a snippet in the rich-text editor by selecting Create New instead of an existing snippet.

  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
