Box

Brightspot's Box integration lets you search and import files from a linked Box account into federated search.

Configuring the integration

To configure the Box integration:

1. From the left navigation, under Admin, click Sites & Settings, then select the Global site.
2. From the Integrations tab, expand the Box cluster.
3. In the Client Id field, type the client ID from the Box Developer Console.
4. In the Client Secret field, type the client secret from the Box Developer Console.
5. Click Save.

Brightspot displays the redirect URI to add in the Box Developer Console (in the form https://your-host/boxAuth) next to the Client Id field.

Linking your account

Box imports files on behalf of the signed-in editor rather than a shared service account. If you have not linked your Box account, the search results panel shows a "Click here to authenticate Box" prompt instead of a search field.

To link your Box account:

1. Open the search panel for Box.
2. Click the authentication link ("Click here to authenticate Box" the first time, or Link another account to add an additional account).
3. Sign in to Box and approve the requested permissions.

After you approve access, Brightspot returns you to the search panel and Box is ready to search.
