Using Ask Esca
Ask Esca (formerly Ask AI) is an assistant that indexes your content and answers questions about it using natural language. As Ask Esca works, it shows which tools it calls, cites the CMS content it references, and keeps a history of your conversations so you can return to them later.
To use Ask Esca, the feature must be enabled and your user role must have the correct permissions assigned. See Configuration for setup instructions.
To use Ask Esca:

In the left navigation, click .

In the field, enter your question.

Click .
Ask Esca streams its answer in as it's generated. While it works, it shows the tools it calls (for example, "Running
<tool>," then "Used<tool>"). Click to stop the response early.Your answer includes numbered citations linking back to the source assets. Expand Sources below the answer to see the full list.

Ask follow-up questions as needed. Your conversation persists as you navigate elsewhere in the CMS and return.
Click on an answer to copy it so you can paste it where needed.
Managing conversations
Ask Esca keeps a history of your conversations so you can pick up where you left off.
To start a new conversation:
Click .
To return to a previous conversation:
- Click . Ask Esca displays your 20 most recent conversations.
- Click a conversation to load it.
(Optional) Click to return to the active conversation without loading a different one.
To rename or delete a conversation:

Next to the conversation, click .

Click Rename or Delete.
noteDeleting a conversation is permanent and cannot be undone.
To close Ask Esca, click .
