Using Ask Esca

Ask Esca (formerly Ask AI) is an AI agent built into the CMS. Ask Esca does the following things:

• Answers questions about content using natural language, citing the CMS content it references.
• Creates and edits assets from a prompt, generating a whole draft rather than working one field at a time.

While it works, Ask Esca shows which tools it calls, and it keeps a history of conversations so users can return to them later.

To use Ask Esca, the feature must be enabled and your user role must have the correct permissions assigned. See Configuration for setup instructions.

To use Ask Esca:

1. In the left navigation, click .

2. In the field, enter your question, or describe the content to create or edit.

3. Click .

   Ask Esca streams its response in as it is generated. While it works, it shows the tools it calls (for example, "Running <tool>," then "Used <tool>"). Click to stop the response early.

   When Ask Esca answers a question, the response includes numbered citations linking back to the source assets. Expand Sources below the response to see the full list.

4. Continue with follow-up questions or requests as needed. Your conversation persists as you navigate elsewhere in the CMS and return.

Click on a response to copy it so you can paste it where needed.

Creating, editing, and deleting content

Ask Esca creates and edits assets from a prompt, generating a whole draft rather than working one field at a time. A prompt such as "Write an article about the new tariffs on steel imports" creates a new asset. A prompt such as "Shorten the introduction on the [Title] article" edits an existing one.

Before making a change, Ask Esca describes its plan in chat and waits for approval. New assets are created as drafts unless the prompt specifies to publish them.

Ask Esca can also delete assets when prompted to do so.

Deleting an asset is permanent. Ask Esca confirms before deleting anything, and a deleted asset cannot be recovered.

Managing conversations

Ask Esca keeps a history of your conversations so you can pick up where you left off.

To start a new conversation:

Click .

To return to a previous conversation:

1. Click . Ask Esca displays your 20 most recent conversations.
2. Click a conversation to load it.

(Optional) Click to return to the active conversation without loading a different one.

To rename or delete a conversation:

1. Click .

2. Next to the conversation, click .

3. Click Rename or Delete.

   note

   Deleting a conversation is permanent and cannot be undone.

To close Ask Esca, click .
