External page

An external page represents content hosted outside of Brightspot. It gives that content a presence inside Brightspot so it can appear alongside Brightspot-hosted content in lists and search results.

When you create an external page, you enter the full absolute URL of the off-site content (for example, https://www.example.com/article) in the URLs widget. On publish, Brightspot generates an on-domain permalink that redirects visitors to that external URL. This lets you include external content in curated lists and dynamic results while keeping link handling consistent with the rest of your site.
