Slack

The Slack integration posts messages into a workspace, starts automations from its slash commands, shortcuts and mentions, and is one of the two places a paused automation can ask a person a question.

What it gives you

Slack trigger	Starts the automation when someone uses one of your Slack app's slash commands or shortcuts, or mentions the app.
Slack action	Runs an operation in the workspace. Send Message posts a message to a user or channel, or a reply in a thread, written as rich text, markdown, Slack blocks, or raw Block Kit JSON, and Upload File posts a file. Respond replies to the slash command or shortcut that started the run, Update Message and Delete Message change a message the app posted, Add Reaction and Remove Reaction react to one, and Get Message reads one with its thread.

Slack is also a human-in-the-loop provider. An AI step configured to pause pushes its question into Slack as an interactive message with the buttons or inputs the question calls for, and streams the agent's progress alongside it. Whoever answers, wherever they answer—in Slack, in another channel, or from the approvals inbox—the others update to show it has been resolved.

What it needs

A Slack connection, which is an app installed into your workspace. An administrator creates that app once; after that the connection is reused like any other.
