The Jira integration reacts to issue and comment activity, and acts back on the issues it finds.

What it gives you

Jira trigger	Starts the automation on an issue or comment event in a project, optionally refined with JQL.
Jira action	Runs one of 12 operations—creating, reading, updating, assigning, transitioning, commenting, searching, linking, watching, and logging work.

What it needs

A Jira connection, authenticating with an API token or through an OAuth app. The choice matters for triggers: only OAuth can register a Jira webhook by itself.
