ai v2.0.1 release​

Release Date: October 10, 2025

ai v2.0.1 release had one improvement and four bug fixes.

Significant improvement​

  • The Create with AI feature for the Rich Text Editor (RTE) now preserves enhancements made in the text, including inline elements such as styled text and links, as well as block elements like embedded images.

Significant defects addressed​

  • Resolved the issue of NullPointerException that occurred while using Create with AI and prompt suggestions, which was caused by bad data.

  • Resolved the issue of AI Audit Widget that threw IllegalArgumentException if the expected settings field was missing.

  • Resolved several UI issues that occurred because the styling for AI features was located in a standalone file:

    • Audit Dashboard icons did not appear properly.
    • Create with AI magic icon was misaligned on Content Edit page.
    • Icons were missing or poorly styled in the Create with AI dialog.
    • Ask AI and its magic icon were not visible on the left pane.

  • Updated the dependency in the AI repository README to api 'com.brightspot.ai:ai:1.0-SNAPSHOT' and not api 'com.brightspot.ai:platform-ai:1.0-SNAPSHOT'.

ai v2.0.0 release​

Release date: September 23, 2025

ai v2.0.0 release had one new feature and two bug fixes.

Significant new feature​

  • Added the AI Usage dashboard widget that displays two charts—Usage Over Time and Usage Against Cap. This feature has introduced a breaking change. See the Breaking Changes section below for more information.

Significant defects addressed​

  • Suppressed ErrorProne warnings for localization methods in AskAIClient.

  • Resolved the issue of NullPointerException (NPE) on Create with AI dialog box on the second prompt (while using the author persona).

Breaking changes​

  • AuditDashboardPermission renamed to AIDashboardWidgetsPermission to act as an umbrella permission (that may be granularized in the future) for all current and future AI-related widgets.

ai v1.0.1 release had two bug fixes.

Significant defects addressed​

  • Fixed ErrorProne warnings in ai plugin code and carried out Javadoc update.

  • Resolved the Circular dependency in the platform-ai that prevented Brightspot repo from compiling.

ai v1.0.0 release​

ai v1.0.0 release had one new feature, one improvement, and one bug fix.

Significant new feature​

  • Introduced the ability to configure brand guidelines that apply to all AI queries and prompts. The AI assistant consistently applies the Brand Guidelines based on the Create with AI client configuration.

Significant improvement​

  • Added a default system prompt for Create with AI similar to the one that is there for AskAI.

Significant defect addressed​

  • Improved error handling for Create with AI and Ask AI features.
