Configuring ad layout

This section describes how to lay out your ads at various levels in the content hierarchy.

Global level

Configuring ad layout at the global level

1. Click > Admin > Sites & Settings > Sites > Global
2. From the Front-End tab, expand the Layout cluster.
3. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
4. Click , and in the module picker select Ad.
5. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
6. Click Save.

Global-content type level

Configuring ad layout at the global-content type level

1. Click > Admin > Sites & Settings > Sites > Global
2. Global > Front-End > Type Specific Overrides > Type Specific OverridesFrom the Front-End tab, expand the Type Specific Overrides cluster.
3. Under Type Specific Overrides, click .
4. From the Types list, select the content types for which you are configuring an ad layout at the global level.
5. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
6. Click , and in the module picker select Ad.
7. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
8. Click Save.

Site level

Configuring ad layout at the site level

1. Click > Admin > Sites & Settings.
2. From the Sites widget, select the site for which you want to deliver ads.
3. From the Front-End tab, expand the Layout cluster.
4. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
5. Click , and from the Add widget select Ad.
6. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
7. Click Save.

Site-content type level

Configuring ad layout at the site-content type level

1. Click > Admin > Sites & Settings.
2. From the Sites widget, select the site for which you want to deliver ads.
3. From the Front-End tab, expand the Type Specific Overrides cluster.
4. Under Type Specific Overrides, click .
5. From the Types list, select the content types for which you are configuring an ad layout at the site level.
6. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
7. Click , and in the module picker select Ad.
8. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
9. Click Save.

Section level

Configuring ad layout at the section level

1. Create or open the section in the content edit form.
2. Expand Overrides > Layout Overrides.
3. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
4. Click , and in the module picker select Ad.
5. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
6. Complete your site's workflow and publish the asset.

Section-content type level

Configuring ad layout at the section-content type level

1. Create or open the section in the content edit page.
2. Expand Overrides > Type Specific Overrides.
3. Under Type Specific Overrides, click .
4. From the Types list, select the content types for which you are configuring ad layout at the section level.
5. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
6. Click , and in the module picker select Ad.
7. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
8. Complete your site's workflow and publish the asset.

Content type level

Configuring ad layout at the content type level

1. Create a content template based on the content type as described in Content templates.
2. Expand Overrides > Layout Overrides.
3. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
4. Click , and in the module picker select Ad.
5. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
6. Complete your site's workflow and publish the asset.

Asset level

Configuring ad layout at the asset level

1. Create or open the asset in the content edit form.
2. Expand Overrides > Layout Overrides.
3. Scroll down to one the drop-down lists Above, Aside, or Below, and select Replace.
4. Click , and in the module picker select Ad.
5. From the Ad list, select an ad module.
6. Complete your site's workflow and publish the asset.
