Press release

This topic covers how to create a press release in Brightspot.

Creating press releases

To create a press release:

  1. In the header, click .
  2. From the Create list, select Press Release.
  3. Using the following table as a reference, complete the fields as needed.
  4. Complete your site's workflow and publish the press release.
FieldDescription
HeadlineEnter a headline. This headline is visible to the visitors to your site.
Sub HeadlineEnter a subheadline. This subheadline is visible to the visitors to your site.
SlugThis field, by default, is auto-populated by a Title, Name, Display Name, or Headline field, and becomes part of the asset's URL.

Auto-populated slugs are lowercase, have diacritics removed, and any symbols or spaces are replaced with -.

You can modify the URL Slug field if necessary.
LeadSelect a gallery, image, or video that appears after the asset's headline and before its body. Your selection is visible to visitors to your site.

If you select an image, you can apply a focus point, cropping, and resizing that override any settings on the image itself. For more information, see Image editing.
BodyUse the rich-text editor to include text, lists, images, and links to other assets. Text in this field is visible to visitors to your site.

SectionSelect the sections associated with this asset. This selection is visible to your visitors.

TagsSelect the tags associated with this asset. This selection is visible to visitors to your site.

For information about creating a tag, see Tag.
EmbargoSelect a date and time before which you cannot publish the asset, or select Indefinitely to prevent publication indefinitely. (You can move the asset through a workflow, and schedule it for publication any time on or after this date.) This field becomes read-only after you publish the asset.
Secondary SectionsSelect the secondary sections associated with this asset. This selection is not visible to the visitors to your site.
