Search display options
The search panel includes a variety of controls you can use to modify the listing of retrieved items.
Sorting retrieved items
From the Sort list, select the field by which you want to sort the listing of retrieved items. See the illustration Search display options.
Tip
You can set the default search field for a content type. Contact your Brightspot representative for details.
Adding fields to search results
Brightspot lists the retrieved items with a standard set of fields. You can add fields to or remove fields from the listing.
From the Fields list, select Custom. The Select Fields widget appears.
Under Hidden Fields, type all or part of a field's name. As you type, Brightspot filters the list of hidden fields.
From the Hidden Fields list, toggle a field name. The field moves to the Selected Fields list.
From the Selected Fields list, toggle a field name. The field moves to the Hidden Fields list.
Click Update.
The Select Fields widget closes, and you return to the listing of retrieved items with the new fields appearing.
Tip
You can automatically include fields in the search results for a particular content type. For example, you can specify that the Author
field always appear when filtering on Article

Setting items per page
From the Show list, select the number of items you want to view in each page. See the illustration Search display options.
Paging through search results
Click |mi-chevron_right| to page forward; click |mi-chevron_left| to page backward. See the illustration Search display options.
Setting display mode
Depending on the type of items in the search results, you can view the retrieved items as a text list, a mixed list of text and thumbnails, or a customized option if any. Click the required display mode at the top of the listing; see the illustration Search display options.
Filtering for watched items
Mark Watching to filter for only those items you are watching; see the illustration Search display options.
Full screen
Click |mi-fullscreen| to enter full-screen mode. Exit full-screen mode by clicking in the Search field in the header.
