Live blogs

Live blogs allow editors to log a series of news updates about a developing topic across a given time period. The time period can be either automatic, expiring after 24 hours of inactivity, or manual, expiring after a specified date and time. Multiple editors can contribute to a live blog.

Live blogs display a content type called What You Need To Know, which displays information about what the editor has deemed overall important to the topic of the live blog. Examples include:

  • A recap of a day's events.

  • A timetable of what will occur throughout the day.

  • Links to other, relevant coverage.

  • Links to the previous day's coverage.
