How to make a contact-us page
  1. In the header, click in the search field. The search panel appears.

  2. From the Create list, select Page.

  3. Click New. A blank content edit page appears.

  4. In the Display Name field, enter the page's title.

  5. If you want to suppress the page's title from the published site, toggle on Hide Display Name. (Some pages use a graphic for a title, not text.)

  6. In the Internal Name field, enter a label Brightspot uses for the page in widgets (or retain the default).

  7. In the Description field, enter the page's description.

  8. In the Lead and Section fields, enter values as appropriate. (Some publishers have different contact pages for different levels in the content hierarchy.)

  9. Under Contents, click |mi-add_circle_outline|. A widget appears.

  10. Click Misc, and then click Container. You return to a Container widget in the content edit form.

  11. In the Title field, enter a title for the container.

  12. In the Description field, enter a description for the container.

  13. From the Rows list, select 1 Column. A form appears. (You can select more columns for a more complex layout; for details, see How to make a container module.)

  14. Under Column One, click |mi-add_circle_outline|, and then select Form. A widget appears.

  15. In the Shared selection field, click |mi-search|. A content picker appears.

  16. From the Create list, select Contact Form.

  17. Click New. A content edit page appears.

  18. In the Internal Name field, enter a name for this form. Brightspot uses this name in various widgets, such as the content picker.

  19. In the Title field, enter the form's title.

  20. In the Description field, enter the form's description.

  21. Under Items, design your form by doing the following:

    1. Remove existing fields by clicking |mi-remove|.

    2. Order the fields by hovering over |mi-crop_din| and dragging |mi-open_with|.

    3. Modify fields by expanding the form and making settings for label, description, type, placeholder, and required as necessary.

    4. Add fields by clicking |mi-add_circle_outline| and selecting one of the following:

  22. Under Actions, configure what Brightspot does with the submitted data; click |mi-add_circle_outline| and select one or more of the following:

    • Data Collection Action—Saves the submitted data into an external file. An external application can read the file into a database.

    • Email Action—Sends an email containing the form's data to a specified address, such as an email address for a sales representative. For details, see Email.

    • External Submit Action—Submits the form data to an Internet address. For details, see External submit.

    Your form looks similar to the following:

  23. In the Success Message field, design a message that appears when Brightspot successfully ingests the form's data.

  24. In the Error message field, design a message that appears when Brightspot cannot successfully ingest the form's data.

  25. Click Publish.

  26. Click Back. You return to the content picker.

  27. Click the form you just created, and close the content picker.

  28. Complete your site's workflow and publish the page.
