How to make a tab module
  1. In the header, click in the search field. The search panel appears.

  2. From the Create list, select a content type (such as Article).

  3. Toward the right of the content edit form, select |mi-more_horiz|> Overrides.

  4. Expand Layout Overrides.

  5. From the Above, Aside, or Below list, select one of the following:

    • Add After—Inherits the block's modules from the parent level and adds a tab module under them.

    • Add Before—Inherits the block's modules from the parent level and adds a tab module above them.

    • Replace—Replaces the block's modules inherited from the parent level with a new tab module.

  6. Click |mi-add_circle_outline|, and select Tabs. A form appears.

  7. In the Title field, enter the tab module's title.

  8. In the Description field, enter the tab module's description.

  9. Under Tabs, click |mi-add_circle_outline|. A form appears.

  10. In the Internal Name field, enter a name for the tab. Brightspot uses this name in various widgets, such as Recent Activity or search results.

  11. In the Title field, enter the tab's title.

  12. Under Tab Content, do the following:

    1. Click |mi-add_circle_outline|, and select a module. The corresponding form appears.

    2. Fill out the module's form.

    3. Repeat steps a–b to add additional items to this tab.

  13. If you need to adjust the tab's appearance, do the following:

    1. Expand Tab Item Styles.

    2. Make selections for icons and template as appropriate for the tab and its content.

  14. Repeat steps 7–11 to add additional tabs.

  15. If you need to adjust the contrast between the tab module and the page it's on, do the following:

    1. Expand Tab Styles.

    2. From the Template list, select one of the available templates.

    3. Make selections for text and background colors that give good contrast with the page.

  16. Complete your site's workflow and publish the item.
