The Dropbox plugins enable federated searches of Dropbox resources directly from the search panel.

There are two Dropbox plugins:

  • Feature—This plugin provides federated searches of Dropbox resources. These resources are retrieved as read-only and are not imported into Brightspot.
  • Content—Imports Dropbox resources into Brightspot so you can add or change metadata.

The Dropbox plugins require the following:

  • Dropbox enterprise account, allowing any editor to retrieve Dropbox resources.
  • Application Key and Application Secret to configure the Dropbox feature plugin. To find these values, go to your Dropbox My Apps page, then click the listed application. If you have not yet created your application in Dropbox, you must specify the following redirect URI in the OAuth 2 configuration: https://<brightspotDomain>/dropboxAuth.
