Tagging Content with a Brand, Country, Product, or Topic

When you tag your company’s content with a brand, country, product, or topic, Brightspot displays the tags with the content, and displays all content associated with a tag.

Referring to the previous illustration—

  • The brand name is Buster & Olivia’s.
  • There are three products associated with the brand: tomato sauce, thin crust, and olives.
  • Displaying the page for the brand automatically displays all products associated with the brand.

The following steps describe how to create corporate tags and then apply those tags to your content.

Step 1: Create the Corporate Tags

  1. Enable the Express: Corporate plugin; for details, see Enabling and Disabling Plugins.
  2. From the Dashboard, in the Quick Start widget, click Brand, Country, Product, or Topic. (If the required item does not appear in the Quick Start widget, see Creating Any Type of Content.) A new content edit page appears.
  3. Fill out the content edit page; the fields in the page depend on the content type and your version of Brightspot.
  4. Click Publish.

Step 2: Apply the Corporate Tags to Content

  1. Search for and open the items you want to tag in the content edit form. For example, if you are writing an article about a new product, open that article in the content edit form.

  2. In the Brands, Countries, Products, and Topics fields, click add_circle_outline, and from the content picker, select the required corporate tag.
