AP Images

The AP plugins enable federated searches of Associated Press images directly from the Brightspot search panel. External content retrieved from a third-party repository can optionally be imported into Brightspot and used as any other asset. For more information, see Federated Search and Import procedure.

Note that there are two AP plugins, a feature plugin and a content plugin. The feature plugin is required, as it provides federated searches of AP images. These resources are retrieved in an external data type format, and can only be viewed in Brightspot as read only. If you want the capability to import external AP resources into Brightspot, you must also enable the AP content plugin.

The AP plugins require the following:

  • AP Images enterprise account, allowing for any Brightspot user to retrieve AP images.
  • API Key to configure the AP feature plugin. For more information, see AP Images Content API and contact an AP Sales Representative.
